If he has been alive, it would have been his 112th birthday. Rasipuram Krishnaswami Narayan is one the most appreciated writers of India, his efforts to bring to life the small town of South India was put off so well that people not only acknowledged his stories but somehow it left a very deep impact into people’s lives. The town of Malgudi was just a fictional output of his brilliant imagination but he pulled such severe strings through his writing that every person who completed reading his books would close the last page and set themselves on quest to find this very town which they eventually fell in love with.

His sense of humor was beautifully portrayed in his writing collection, he wrote about ordinary people making them the superheroes effortlessly.

Years after writing, books still takes us to places between reality nostalgia and imagination.

So if you haven’t yet read any of his books yet, go ahead grab one, I’m sure you’ll automatically fall in love with places and people you haven’t met till date and by the last page you’ll be standing on your toes to meet them in person.

That is the impact of R K Narayan.

Remembering  the legend of his birth anniversary and appreciating all that he has given to the Indian literature, still won't do justice to his lifetime work.
