New Delhi: The Narendra Modi government at the Centre today introduced the Homoeopathy Central Council (Amendment) Bill, 2019 in the Lok Sabha. The Central Council of Homeopathy will be reconstituted every two years after the bill is approved. At the moment the period is only one year. On behalf of AYUSH Minister Sripad Yesho Naik, the bill was introduced by Health and Family Welfare Minister Harsh Vardhan in the Modi government today.

The bill proposes to extend the period of restructuring of the Central Council of Homeopathy from the current one year to two years. The implementation of the Bill is aimed at extending the term of the Board of Governors (Board of Governors) for one year from May 17, 2019. The bill, if passed by Parliament, will replace the ordinance brought by the previous government in this regard.

On the other hand, introducing the triple talaq bill, Union Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad said, "The law will protect the rights of Muslim women. Opposing the bill, Congress MP Shashi Tharoor from Thiruvananthapuram said that instead of targeting one community, a common law should be enacted in which all those who do so can come under its purview. AimIM MP Asaduddin Owaisi opposed the triple talaq bill and said it was a violation of Article 14 and 15.
