In the election of sarpanch, the Haryana government will give 8 percent reservation to BCA group of backward caste. BCA and BCB are two backward caste parties in the state. The BCB people are in a large number in the state. Therefore this reservation has to be given to the castes of BCA party. On the other hand, there is already a provision of 33 percent reservation for women in the Panchayat elections. Whereas 42 percent women were elected in Haryana's Panchayat elections last time. But this time there will be 50 percent participation. Half of the population will remain in the panchayat elections. Its format is yet to be decided. The meeting was held in this context.
The government has decided to start the monsoon session of Haryana from August 26, despite the corona crisis. Chief Minister Manohar Lal has taken this decision after consultations with all ministers and top officials. The time of the session will be decided in the Business Advisory Committee.
