New Delhi: The Reserve Bank of India is going to organize a global Hackathon for the first time to make digital payments more secure and convenient for its customers. Those involved have a golden chance to win a prize of up to Rs 40 lakh.
The RBI announced the Hackathon, saying it was a theme to make digital payments safer. Registration for this Hackathon called 'HARBINGER 2021' will start from November 15. RBI said participants in the Hackathon will have to access digital payments to the disadvantaged sections, simplify payments and improve the relevant experience, as well as identify issues related to making digital payments more secure and present their solutions. The RBI announced the Hackathon on Tuesday, saying it was a theme to make digital payments more agile.
RBI further said that joining Harbinzer 2021 will give participants an opportunity to seek the guidance of industry experts and show their innovative solutions. A jury will select winners in each category. 40 Lakh will be given to the first placed participant, while the second-placed participant will be given a reward of Rs 20 lakh.
