Balochistan: The Balochistan Yakjehti Committee has reignited its momentum, commencing a march from Dera Ghazi Khan towards Islamabad to protest the blockade of transport and threats faced by demonstrators on Tuesday.

Undeterred by transport closures, the protesters are steadfast in their determination to advance towards Islamabad. Their primary objectives encompass advocating for the recovery of their missing kin and denouncing purported ongoing genocide and state-sponsored terrorism in Balochistan, as conveyed by the Balochistan Yakjehti Committee.

In a statement shared on social media platform X, the committee affirmed, "Despite the transport blockade and threats encountered in Dera Ghazi Khan, the march towards Islamabad has commenced on foot. The state's hindrances cannot impede our pursuit for the safe return of our loved ones and our outcry against the continuing atrocities and state-sponsored terrorism in Balochistan."

Encouraging wider participation, the statement urged, "From Dera Ghazi Khan, commencing from Ghayur Baloch of Taunsa, we extend an invitation for active involvement in this long march."

Mehrang Baloch, a political activist, posted on platform X, declaring, "At 11 a.m. today, we will embark on a march towards Islamabad from the Gadai Chowk picketing site. Ghayur Baloch from DG Khan will ensure his active participation."

Earlier in the day, the Balochistan Yakjehti Council announced the continuation of the prolonged march against alleged genocide perpetrated by Pakistani forces in Balochistan, following the conclusion of a sit-in at Dera Gazi Khan on Monday night. Dawn reported that the Baloch Long March is now slated to proceed towards Islamabad.
