Islamabad: Reports are emerging about the alleged poisoning of Dawood Ibrahim, the mastermind behind the Mumbai terrorist attacks, in Pakistan. According to the report, Dawood has been admitted to a hospital in Karachi, one of Pakistan's major cities. However, official confirmation of this information is still pending. Additionally, there is no information about who might be responsible for poisoning Dawood. Recently, Pakistani journalist Arzu Kazmi made sensational claims in an interview, suggesting that Pakistan could take drastic measures to improve its image globally, including the elimination of Dawood Ibrahim. She mentioned that whether it's the IMF or the World Bank, there is international pressure on Pakistan. Kazmi asserted that recent targeted killings in Pakistan have raised questions about when the leaders of terrorist organizations will be dealt with. She noted that even China, Pakistan's closest ally, is expressing concerns about the presence of such elements in Pakistan. Hence, it is possible that Pakistan may take steps to remove individuals like Dawood Ibrahim.

Arzu Kazmi claimed that the Pakistani government still does not officially acknowledge Dawood Ibrahim's presence in the country. He is officially recognized as an Indian citizen, and Pakistan cannot afford the risk associated with accepting him. Kazmi stated that if Dawood Ibrahim were to be killed or die due to illness, Pakistan would never admit it. This would lead to diplomatic consequences that Pakistan cannot afford.

Dawood Ibrahim is reported to reside in the Clifton area of Karachi, and the claim of his admission to Agha Khan Hospital in Karachi, approximately 8 kilometers from his residence, has been reported by the Pakistani media. It's worth mentioning that Dawood had 25 aliases and obtained 20 fake passports to evade Indian security agencies, allowing him to travel anywhere in the world without difficulty. His multiple addresses in Pakistan make it challenging to ascertain his exact location. However, the news of Dawood Ibrahim being poisoned in Pakistan is still speculative and may be mere rumor at this point.
