New Delhi: A good news for Delhi government's doctors is that the retirement age of city government services doctors to 65 and the Lt Governor Najeeb Jung gave his approval.

Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain took to the tweeter and said, "Good news for Delhi Govt Doctors. Enhancement of retirement to 65 yrs done (sic)".

"The Health Department of the government had recently sent a proposal to the Lt Governor to seek his approval. The LG has given his approval to government's proposal to increase the retirement age of doctors to 65," a government spokesperson said.

Previously, the retirement age of doctors at Delhi government-run hospitals was 62 and there are nearly 36 hospitals run by Delhi government in the national capital.
