Vijay Saran, a serial tech entrepreneur, began his journey at 14 with "N DROID CITY," an ethical hacking website. By 22, he secured INR 2.5 million in funding, earning a place in "30 Under 30." In 2023, he completed a Postgraduate program in Blockchain at IIT Kanpur.

Utkarshini Arora, a seasoned software developer, contributed to top unicorn startups and excelled as a content creator. She mentored over 12,000 students and completed a Post Graduation in Blockchain from IIIT Bangalore.

The inception of the Peso App began when Vijay and Utkarshini met in Bangalore and started offering tech and marketing consultancy to startups. However, they hit a roadblock with the UPI system's limitations on daily transactions.

As skilled developers, they tried integrating payment gateways into their business website, exploring options like Razorpay, Instamojo, Paytm, Payu, Stripe, and Paypal. Stringent RBI regulations hindered most of these options, but one prominent payment gateway allowed them to integrate. However, a client's payment was held in reserve for four months, exposing the challenges faced by startups in India in terms of financial control.

Recognizing the critical gap in the financial system, Vijay and Utkarshini saw an opportunity to solve this issue with blockchain technology. Leveraging their proficiency as blockchain developers, they set out on a mission to create an app that would streamline financial transactions through blockchain infrastructure. Appropriately, they named it "Peso," symbolizing "money."

The Peso App is now available on Google Play and the App Store, having successfully implemented its first pillar and quickly rising to prominence in the fintech sector.

Currently, Vijay Saran, Utkarshini Arora, and their dedicated team are actively working on integrating the second pillar, which involves the use of the Bitcoin Lightning Network Infrastructure. This advancement will make Peso App India's first layer 2 blockchain payments app, enabling lightning-fast global payments.
