New Delhi:-  Toyota has come up with a new lifted variant of the Innova Hycross-based MPV in Malaysia that looks nearly the same as it. Toyota has named it the Zenix and is offered in two trims and powertrain options.

The Multi-Purpose Vehicle (MPV) will be manufactured in Indonesia and will shipped directly to Malaysia in Completely Knocked Down (CKD) form that means the car will be assembled Domestically and the knocked down will be imported.

The all-new, fully imported 2023 Toyota Innova Zenix has finally landed on Malaysian soil. The new MPV, unveiled globally late last year, is his third-generation Innova with the Zenix name. The new MPV will not replace the existing 2nd generation Innova but will be assembled locally in Malaysia and sold together. 

In Malaysia, MPVs are still only powered by gasoline engines. A naturally aspirated (NA) 2.0-liter petrol engine develops 172 hp, while a hybrid petrol engine, also 2.0-liter petrol, develops 183 hp. Transmission options include CVT and E-CVT respectively, but no manual version is offered. Gasoline cars have eight seats, but hybrid cars have one less seat.

Toyota has equipped the Zenix with features such as a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, automatic climate control, a digital instrument panel, a power cab, a power tailgate, and a panoramic sunroof. The safety package includes six airbags, ESC (electronic stability control), parking sensors, a 360-degree parking camera, ADAS (advanced driver assistance system), etc.

It is priced at 1,65,000 Malaysian Ringgit (approx. ₹29 lakh) onwards. Innova Hycross, on the other hand, is priced between ₹18.55 lakh (1,05,810 Ringgit) and ₹29.99 lakh (1,71,065 Ringgit). The Innova Zenix looks very similar to the model sold here. The interior layout is also exactly the same as the Hycross, except for the all-black color scheme.
