With the addition of Rewa Airport, Madhya Pradesh will now have six operational airports, joining Bhopal, Indore, Jabalpur, Gwalior, and Khajuraho. Chief Minister Yadav highlighted that the new airport will enhance economic activity and improve regional connectivity in the state. "The Rewa Airport in the Vindhya region has received the DGCA license. It will boost economic activity and expand regional connectivity in the state," Yadav said.

Under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, this airport is expected to be a milestone in the development of the Vindhya region, reflecting the commitment to the 'Developed India-Developed Madhya Pradesh' vision. "The DGCA has granted the license to commence operations for both passenger and cargo flights," Yadav added.

The new airport will facilitate better connectivity to various cultural and historical sites, stimulate trade, create job opportunities, and boost tourism in the area.

Deputy Chief Minister Rajendra Shukla, a native of the Vindhya region, expressed that the dream of air travel for local residents will soon become a reality. He emphasized that the Rewa Airport will steer economic, social, and cultural development in the region.
