Mumbai: Rhea has now been arrested in a drug connection surfaced in Sushant Singh Rajput case. After Rhea Chakraborty's arrest, there have been fresh revelations about her and her brother Showik Chakraborty. In his statement to NCB, Showik admitted, "He has procured drugs for Sushant several times." According to sources, "The payment of drugs was done by Rhea with Sushant's credit card. Hush, weed and bud was supplied to Sushant's place. All these drugs were delivered before and after the lockdown," he said.
In addition, Showik also said, "Drug peddler Abdul Basit and Mehrotra used to arrange drugs at his behest." Not only that, when the NCB team questioned him by showing his chat, he also talked about taking drugs on 2 occasions. "His WhatsApp chat with Basit and Rhea about drugs is not fake," said Showik. He said "Sushant used to take drugs". Samuel Miranda and Siddharth Pithani told him about it. After talking to Sushant on March 16, 2020, Showik told Rhea that Sushant needs hush and weed. My sister explained that Sushant takes drugs 2 to 5 times a day. So that day I procured 5 grams of drugs, which was enough for 20 times," he said.
In addition, Showik also revealed, "I contacted Abdul Basit he quoted me the rate, then I sent it to Rhea and Samuel Miranda. I contacted Samuel Miranda and Basit contacted Zaid. The drugs were delivered near a Bandra restaurant at 5 pm. On April 15, Miranda approached me for drugs, then I called Basit and Basit delivered drugs through Kaizan and Deepesh."
