Hyderabad: Slowly the normal movement is back on track at Hyderabad railway station. Most of the people traveling from Hyderabad are heading towards Bihar, Jharkhand, Visakhapatnam, Tirupati, Howrah, Gujarat, Odisha, Rajasthan, Bengaluru and Vijayawada. As before, during this festive season, especially Dussehra, the waiting list is usually 200 and above. The crowd has increased compared to last year.
With only a few days left for Dussehra, people are seen running towards the station. According to South Central Railway (SCR) officials, there has been a slight increase in congestion at railway stations this festive season as compared to last year. In view of the rush in every festive season, special trains are being run on the basis of a report of Passenger Profile Management Cell. No such congestion has been witnessed on the routes so far, expect Narsapur and Kakinada. In other directions, only moderate rush is seen which can be catered by exciting trains.
During this month on an average around 195 trains are starting and terminating daily as compared to last year. Around 100 trains are passing. Also, the demand for daily commuters has increased slightly. Around 4.25 lakh passengers including unreserved and reserved sections are availing the train services in SCR zone.
