New Delhi: Indian cricket team's wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant was seriously injured in a car accident last year. Pant was going to Roorkee in his car when he met with an accident. After this horrific accident, Rishabh Pant was first treated at Max Hospital in Dehradun. Then the cricketer was shifted to Kokilaben Hospital in Mumbai. Pant had undergone surgery a few days ago at Kokilaben Hospital itself.
Now a big update has come about Pant. The cricketer has undergone ligament reconstruction surgery. But the work is only half done. Rishabh Pant is expected to undergo another surgery within the next six weeks. In such a situation, Rishabh Pant is expected to be out of the IPL and Asia Cup as well as the ODI World Cup to be held in October-November. A senior BCCI official has told that it is very difficult for Rishabh Pant to be fit for the World Cup.
The senior official has told the media that, 'It is too early to say when he will return. But, according to his latest medical report, it is not looking good. He will stay away from action for at least 8-9 months and he is likely to be out of the World Cup as well. But it all depends on how Pant's next surgery goes.'
