Rishi Kapoor opens up about his cancer battle, says, Neetu has stood by me like a rock

The fans got shocked when the news of Rishi Kapoor flying to the US for some medical treatment has gone viral.  Later, rumours of Rishi suffering from cancer spread around. But good news came when, filmmaker Rahul Rawail took to social media and in a post stated that the actor is cancer-free. Now, the veteran actor opened up about his cancer battle.  In an interview with  Deccan Chronicle, he talked about how his family stood by his side during this difficult time.

Rishi Kapoor thanked all his fans and family for the prayers and said,  "Being in remission is a big thing and it’s all because of my family and my fans prayers and duas that have worked. I thank them all."  He further said "Neetu has stood by me like a rock. Otherwise, I am too difficult a person to handle as far as food and drink are concerned. My kids Ranbir (Kapoor) and Ridhima (Kapoor) have really shouldered my problems."

Though Rishi states that he is cancer-free now, but he is yet to undergo another procedure which in all probability should take two months minimum. Apart from his family, Rishi is often visited by his friends from the film industry including Aamir Khan, Sonali Bendre, Priyanka Chopra and Anupam Kher.
