Delhi fire: Bollywood stars mourns, actor targets government

A massive fire broke out in the four-floored factory of making ladies purses, bags and plastic items in Delhi's Sadar Bazar area around 5 am on Sunday. 43 people died in this accident while 17 people got badly burnt. As soon as people came to know about this incident, a wave of mourning ran throughout the country. Bollywood stars are also shocked by this incident.

Expressing grief over the incident, Bollywood actor Riteish Deshmukh tweeted and wrote, 'Extremely saddened to hear about the #DelhiFire accident - Condolences to the to families who lost their loved ones and prayers for the speedy recovery of the injured. ' Singer Shaan was present at a function in Noida, Uttar Pradesh. When he got the news of this incident, he became sad.

Shaan tweeted, 'Headed to Delhi for the 1st #meformycity concert in the Great India Place Mall, Noida, today. Saddened by horrific Delhi Anaj Mandi Fire Tragedy ..may the rescue operations take quick control.. deepest condolences to the loved ones of the victims and may not happen ever again. '

Shatrughan Sinha also tweeted on the incident. He wrote, 'Dreadful, most disturbing & saddening to hear about the tragic #FireAccident in the #AnajMandi in Delhi. My deepest condolences & prayers with the families who lost their loved ones. Hope, wish & pray for the speedy recovery of those injured. A humble appeal to the Govt/Society'

Actor and leader, Actor Raj Babbar, while targeting the Delhi government, wrote, 'Shocked at the loss of so many lives in #DelhiFire tragedy today. As descriptions emerge - seems it was a tragedy waiting to happen. MCD & Delhi Govt, both will have to take responsibility. Painful that the system can't protect lives of even those who live in national capital.

More than 100 people were trapped in the building at the time of the accident. 40 people were somehow evacuated safely, while 60 people were gradually evacuated to a nearby hospital. There 43 were declared dead while 17 are under treatment.
