Riythvika, who debuted in Bala's 'Pardeshi', has made a name for herself as an actress acting in films 'Madras', 'Oru Naal Koothu', 'Kabali' and 'Iranada Ulaga Porin Kadisi Gundu'. After participating in 'Bigg Boss 2' hosted by Kamal Haasan and winning the title, she has become much more popular.

But Riythvika is facing criticism on social media that she won the title of 'Bigg Boss 2' due to being of low caste. She wrote in Tamil in 2018, "For those who are searching which caste Riythvika belongs to... I don't belong this one or that one and if you can dive into your caste gutters and try to find mine" The user posted Riythvika's photo and commented in Tamil, "Even pigs look cute in its young age and trolling her once again as a lower caste girl ".

Riythvika reacted strongly by writing, "Sorry Mr. Madu" and later ended the controversy by writing in Tamil, "I would be very happy if I was born a "Dalit". What to do ?? Unfortunately, I did not receive any such boon. I am also a girl born into a sinful dominant caste who was involved in the oppression of others in the past. I am sorry about this. But we can at least try to live in a casteless society as human beings from now on. In a way, I am also a Dalit. If people who are being harassed as Dalits are identified, then I am also a Dalit because I am a woman. We have been tortured by men for years. You people are responsible for making us "Dalits". Thank you for your compliment on my look." After insensitive racist trolls, Riythvika's fans are supporting her.
