Patna: The aunt of former Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) MLA Saroj Yadav was beaten to death after a minor dispute in Bihar's capital Patna. He was killed by his own brother-in-law and nephews in a minor dispute over the removal of the brick. The incident took place at Pali village under the Bihta police station area of Patna district.

According to reports, the deceased woman was a resident of ward number 12 of Pali village and her name was Phulkumari Devi. Phoolkumari was the aunt of RJD MLA Saroj Yadav. On April 26, at the time of repairing the old house, there was a scuffle with her brother-in-law and nephews over a dispute over the removal of the brick, then the brother-in-law and nephews beat her up in which she was seriously injured.

Thereafter, he was admitted to a private hospital in Patna for treatment, where he succumbed to his injuries on Friday night. Former RJD MLA Saroj Yadav brought his body to Ara Sadar Hospital, where the local police also reached after receiving the Tahrir. The police took the body into their custody and sent it for post-mortem. Former RJD MLA Saroj Yadav said that on April 26, his aunt had a quarrel with her brother-in-law Hiralal Yadav over the removal of the brick. He said that due to the quarrel, Heeralal Yadav and his two sons had been beaten up in which his aunt was seriously injured. She was undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Danapur in Patna and died in the same way as she was taken to Ara on the way to Shamat Marg. After the news of her death, there was a commotion in her family.
