Agra: A tragic road accident has been reported in Agra district of Uttar Pradesh. On Saturday morning, a speeding truck hit a tractor packed with convoys. The collision was so severe that 4 Kanwaris died on the spot, while more than half of the people are said to be seriously injured.

As per the information provided by the local people, there were about 40 wheelers in the tactic which came from three different villages. All of them were going to kanwar from the police station, Iradat Nagar. A truck hit a tractor trolley while approaching Sikanderpur village on Gwalior Highway in Thana Saiya area. The injured reported to the police that a cow suddenly came in front of the tractor, which the driver tried to save, while the truck coming from behind hit the trolley.

There was a scream on the spot after the incident. After receiving information about the incident, the police reached the spot and admitted all the injured to SN Medical College for treatment. Police said, the injured are undergoing treatment where the condition of some of the injured is stated to be critical. Police have taken the bodies of the deceased to a post mortem, which is awaiting a report.
