On November 11, the stylish hitter Robin Uthappa celebrates his birthday. He has participated in some of the most exciting chases for Indian cricket, both as an opener and as the finisher. When required by his IPL sides, Robin also maintained wickets.

Here are some of the most intriguing details about current and two-time IPL champion Robin Uthappa's life that we'll go through today:

Before Robin began playing cricket for India, the Uthappa family was involved in athletics. Hockey umpire Venu is his father.

Uthappa is known as "The Walking Assasin" because of his well-known shot, in which he goes down the field and hits the ball for a straight six.

Robin recorded a 50-point performance in his very first game. In the first ODI of England's 2006 tour of India, Rahul Dravid, the captain, scored 86 runs off 96 balls in pursuit of the 289-run goal set by England.

Robin stabilised the faltering Indian inning against Pakistan in their group stage match in the inaugural 2007 ICC T20 World Cup, becoming the first Indian batsman to record a half-century in T20 cricket.

Robin Uthappa was the only batter to win both the orange cap and the IPL championship in 2014 for Kolkata Knight Riders until the recently finished IPL 2021. Only the second member of the team that won the IPL that year to wear the orange cap was Ruturaj Gaikwad.

The cricket player from Karnataka hasn't reached the century mark despite making some game-winning shots.

Robin owns the record for consistently scoring 40 runs or more in 10 straight games. For the KKR in the IPL 2014, he accomplished the feat.

On 14 September 2022, Uthappa shared in Twitter as follows: “It has been my greatest honour to represent India and my state, Karnataka. However, all good things must come to an end, and with a grateful heart, I have determined to retire from all forms of Indian cricket”.
