The 39-year-old tennis player defeated 23rd-ranked Lawrenceo Sonego 7-5, 6-4, 6-2 to reach the Wimbledon quarterfinals for the 18th time. Roger Federer, who has won the Wimbledon title 8 times, is the oldest player to reach the last eight.
