Mumbai: Doubles tennis player Rohan Bopanna, who was forced to pull out of India's recent Davis Cup tennis match due to a shoulder injury, has said that the recovery process from his injury is moving in the right direction and he plans to do Qatar in January. Have to participate in the Open.

Bopanna said, "It (the shoulder) is getting better and I just started training, maybe 2-3 days ago. So, I have a whole month before the season starts. So it will be fine by the time the first tournament starts, which is on the January 6th - Doha event in Qatar," said Bopanna who was in the city to launch the 'ASICS Limited Edition GEL-NIMBUS 22' and race day t-shirt for the 'Tata Mumbai Marathon', which will be held on January 19 next year.

On the Davis Cup performance, the 39-year-old said, “We were always contenders in the match against Pakistan. If you see, our singles players had a high ranking, then we were strong contenders even if the competition took place anywhere. Every time Team India wins, there is great satisfaction, whether I am in the team or not. As a player, we keep supporting each other and motivate each other. Winning the country is the biggest thing for me and everyone.
