New Delhi: The Union Home Ministry has clarified that it has not issued any order to settle Rohingya Muslims in EWS flats after media reports about Rohingyas surfaced. The Ministry of Home Affairs has said that the Ministry of Home Affairs has not given any order to shift Rohingya Muslims to EWS flats. The Delhi government had proposed to shift Rohingya Muslims to a new place. The ministry also said that the Home Ministry has already approached the concerned countries for the extradition of Rohingya Muslims.
The Home Ministry has clarified that illegal infiltrators are either kept in detention centres or transported back to their country. Along with this, the ministry said that the Delhi government has not yet declared the said location as a detention centre, but they have been ordered to do so immediately. Let me tell you that this whole matter started with a tweet of Union Hardeep Singh Puri. After this, the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) also issued a statement and protested.
In fact, after a tweet by Hardeep Singh Puri, its own supporters were furious at the BJP. Puri had said that the central government will give flats to 11 Rohingya Muslims living in tents. Along with the basic facilities, it has also been announced to provide 24-hour Security of the Delhi Police. After this, people started questioning why Hindu refugees from Pakistan are living helplessly away from these facilities, and why so much mercy on the Rohingyas.
