The first single by NewJeans, "Attention," remained at No. 1 on the Melon Weekly Chart, which was published on August 29th, for two weeks in a row. The song received the highest rating among K-pop idol debut songs released in the previous six years and debuted at the top of Melon's weekly chart last week.
In addition, "Hype Boy" landed in third place on this week's chart, moving up five spots from last week, and "Cookie" ended up in tenth place. All three of NewJeans' triple-titled tracks from their debut album landed in the top 10 of the charts, proving their even popularity. On Spotify, NewJeans also surpassed their own record. On the 28th, "Attention" rose to the 82nd spot on the Global Spotify Daily Top Songs chart, while "Hype Boy" reached the 92nd spot, recording its own highest performance.
On the 11th and 14th, respectively, "Attention" and "Hype Boy" debuted on this chart at 176th and 183rd place. They then steadily moved up the rankings until, by the 28th, both songs were in the top 100, demonstrating their consistent upward trajectory. On the other hand, NewJeans completed their 4-week-long debut activity on August 28th with an appearance on SBS's "Inkigayo." NewJeans won five awards for music programmes on this day's broadcast, including the first-place trophy for "Attention."
