New Delhi: The lockdown is in force throughout the country to prevent the growing number of corona patients in the country. In the meanwhile, the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) is engaged day and night to serve the countrymen facing many problems. The statistics of service operations being carried out across the country during the lockdown have once again been shared on social media by the union.

Some of the major statistics about the Sangh's work have been presented on social media by the 'Prerna' center run by the Publicity Department, one of the main departments of RSS. The statistics of service work done by RSS volunteers is as of May 20, 2020. According to the data shared, 4,79,949 cadres of the union-inspired service department have performed a variety of service assignments at 85,701 locations across the country, including directly supporting 27,98,091 migrant workers.

These millions of in-service volunteers have donated 39,851 units of blood through blood donation camps set up during lockdown. Ration kits have been provided to 1,10,55,450 needy people who are struggling with food stuff amid the epidemic. 62,81,117 masks have been distributed. People have also been told to avoid corona by RSS volunteers. With ration distribution, 7,11,46,500 food packets have been distributed throughout India. Not only this, 1,31,443 people have been lodged in temporary residence.
