Bangalore: The Hijab controversy that started in Karnataka has reached from the High Court to the Supreme Court. Meanwhile, the Muslim wing of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) is also now seeing confusion. The wing distanced itself from their statement when a leader associated with the Muslim Rashtriya Manch (MRM) supported the student Muskan Khan, who came into the limelight in the midst of the hijab controversy. Issuing a statement, Muslim Rashtriya Manch has said that some fanatical minded people are misusing the girl student to spoil the atmosphere of the country.
The RSS's Muslim Forum said it does not support such radicalisation and religious frenzy and supports the implementation of a dress code for students in schools and colleges of Karnataka. Muslim Rashtra Manch founder and veteran RSS leader Indresh Kumar said the ongoing controversy over the hijab is the cruel and disgusting face of the nefarious designs of some 'fundamentalists' to strike harmony and peace in the country. He also raised questions on Muskan Khan, who came into the limelight from the hijab controversy.
Indresh Kumar said Muskan has always worn jeans, then why does she has to wear a hijab in school. Kumar also said that some people are misusing Muslim daughter Muskan Khan. Indresh Kumar also demanded a judicial inquiry into the matter, saying it should be probed so that those who created controversy over the hijab and tried to disturb the atmosphere of the country can be exposed.
