RSS' Muslim wing demands Centre to ban on PFI immediately

NEW DELHI: After the various central agencies that look into crimes took action against the extremist group Popular Front of India (PFI), more and more people are calling for the group to be banned.

After getting together with other nationalist groups, the Muslim Rashtriya Manch, which is part of the right-wing Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), asked the Central government to ban the PFI right away.

The RSS Muslim wing has asked the government of the Union: "If the PFI is so dangerous now, why isn't it banned as soon as possible? Why haven't the bank accounts of the group been frozen yet? Why aren't its properties being linked to it? Why aren't the leaders, office-holders, and representatives of the PFI being treated harshly because they were involved in violent incidents?" But a few days ago, the Union government told the Supreme Court that PFI is going to be banned in several states and that it will do the same thing.

After meeting with other nationalist groups, Mohammad Afzal and Shahid Akhtar, the National Convenor of Muslim Rashtriya Manch, said that PFI was a more dangerous terrorist group than SIMI and that the evidence found during raids by the central investigating agencies was enough to ban this group. So, the government should ban the PFI right away by taking the toughest measures against it.

Shahid Saeed, who is in charge of media for the Rashtriya Muslim Manch, said that all the evidence against the PFI shows that it is a terrorist group that gets money from other countries and holds rallies with the slogan "Pakistan Zindabad."
