Mumbai: The rupee get stronger by 5 paise to 66.39 against the dollar in today’s early trade,later exporters and banks stepped up selling of the US currency among sustained foreign finance inflows.
Forex dealers said, “weakness in the dollar against a few currencies overseas gave some ammo to the rupee”
Further added, “a higher opening in the domestic equity market influenced the rupee uptrend”
On Wednesday, the rupee had grown 8 paise to close at 66.44.
However, the benchmark BSE Sensex gone up 36.42 points, or 0.,13 %, to 26,100.54 in early trade today.
