MOSCOW: According to the Russian Foreign Ministry, the US side "did not give a constructive response" to the fundamental aspects of a Moscow-drafted treaty with the US on security assurances.

According to REPORTS, the US overlooked the "package nature" of the Russian suggestions and purposely chose some "suitable" themes in a written response to the recent US response to the security guarantee treaty.

This strategy, combined with rhetoric from US officials, raises worries about Washington's commitment to improving Europe's security situation, according to the ministry.

"The increased US and NATO military action near Russian borders is frightening," the statement said, "while our red lines and key security interests, as well as Russia's sovereign right to protect them, continue to be ignored."
