Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov underlined Moscow's strong and stable ties with New Delhi during a meeting with External Affairs Minister (EAM) S Jaishankar on Monday, saying that "we are awaiting 2+2 format meeting today." Lavrov made his comments ahead of today's 2+2 ministerial meeting between India and Russia.
"I would like to reiterate what S Jaishankar mentioned regarding the nature of India's relationship with Russia. "Important documents have been created for signing as a result of today's events," Lavrov stated.
The Russian Foreign Minister's comments came after Jaishankar said that the India-Russia cooperation is unique, and that the two countries' ties have remained exceptionally robust in the face of fast geopolitical upheaval.
