Moscow: According to the Russia's Investigative Committee, a helicopter crashed in northwestern Siberia killing at least 19 people.
“Mi-8 helicopter carrying 22 people had crashed on Friday night outside the city of Novy Urengoy and that 19 people have died from multiple injuries at the site, according to preliminary data", said Investigators in a statement.
Three people were survived and saved by the emergency workers in the incident, as well as they were then rushed to a hospital in Novy Urengoy.
As per the Investigative Committee, the reason behind the crash could be a mechanical difficulty or hard weather conditions. A criminal investigation had been initiated to examine possible violations.
