KIEV: A Russian missile has hit a six-story building apartment in Ukraine's central Kharkiv, said State Emergency Service in Kharkiv Oblast said.

A portion of the structure has been destroyed. According to the Ukrainska Pravda, rescuers were able to save one elderly woman as of 4:30 a.m. and were still removing debris. Early on Monday, Kharkiv heard three explosions, the first of which was heard at around 3:32 a.m.

According to the State Emergency Service: "Kharkiv was subjected to three further missile attacks on Sunday night. A six-story residential structure in the Osnovianskyi neighborhood was struck by one missile. All of the flats that could be accessed by one of the entrances and that entrance itself were entirely destroyed by the explosion." An 86-year-old woman who resides in a first-floor flat was rescued from the wreckage by State Emergency Service personnel, according to the Ukrainska Pravda.

However, there were neither wounded nor fatalities. At the missile strike location, rescue and search efforts are still underway. "Two more missiles struck a school in the Slobidskyi area of Kharkiv and a yard next to a storage depot in the Osnovianskyi district."
