After posting a video of his colposcopy online, Ryan Reynolds shocked everyone with a recent Instagram post. After having his first colonoscopy, the actor just discovered he had a polyp on his colon. Ryan documented the entire process of getting the test in order to raise awareness about the cancer screening process.

What began as a wager between Ryan and Rob McElhenney, the co-chairman of his Welsh football team Wrexham AFC, ended up being a "life-saving" opportunity for the actor, who was urged to record and post a video of his colonoscopy online after losing the wager with Rob. Ryan may be heard speaking to the camera in Reynolds' video before having the operation as he says, "I've been on camera a lot. But this was the first time one was shoved up my a**."

The actor further in the video also noted that "The procedure and prep were painless but the discomfort of filming and sharing the process was the hardest part." The doctor describes how they discovered a small polyp on his colon over the course of the diagnostic, which was removed after the patient completed the screening procedure.

In his post, Ryan further added that "We want this potentially life-saving procedure to be less mysterious and stigmatized." Reynolds' tweet was met with a lot of positive feedback from his friends and followers. Gal Gadot, who co-starred with the actor in Red Notice, wrote "Amazing Ryan" in the comments.
