In Punjab too, leaders of Shiromani Akali Dal have started threatening the BJP. Party leaders have done this work in the Delhi Assembly elections after the alliance broke with the BJP. Senior SAD leader and Rajya Sabha member Balwinder Singh Bhundar has said that minorities are not safe in the country. The party stands on the demand for the inclusion of Muslims in the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) and if necessary it can step down from the ministerial post at the Center. It is noteworthy that Harsimrat Kaur Badal is the only minister in the center from SAD.

Almost all parties united on Sharjeel's anti-national statement

Chairman Sukhbir Singh Badal said about SAD in Amritsar that the party will contest the next assembly elections in Punjab along with BJP. SAD-BJP alliance is in Punjab's interests. He did not comment on Bhundad's statement. BJP state president Ashwini Sharma met Sukhbir, but he too did not speak on Bhundad's statement. Sukhbir said that the Akali Dal is not against the CAA. He wants Muslims to be included in this as well. India is a country of all religions, so everyone should get equal opportunities. He along with wife Harsimrat Kaur Badal reached Shri Harimandir Sahib on Monday.
