Mumbai: Bollywood veteran screenwriter and dialogue writer, as well as noted film director Sagar Sarhadi, has passed away sadly today. He was 88 years old. He had stopped eating and drinking in his last days. According to media reports, he was admitted to a hospital in Mumbai due to a heart problem.

Sagar Sarhadi wrote the screenplay for hit films like Noori, Bazaar, Amitabh Bachchan's film Kabhi, Amitabh, Shashi Kapoor, Jaya Bachchan, Rekha's film Silsila, Chandni, Deewana, and Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai. Along with this, he also directed the super hit film Bazaar. The real name of Sagar Sarhadi was Ganga Sagar Talwar. He was recognized in the industry by Yash Chopra's film Kabhi Kabhi. Along with this, he also received the Filmfare Award for Best Dialogue.

Please tell that Sagar Sarhadi was born on 11 May 1933 in undivided Pakistan. The writer left his home from Pakistan and first came to Kingsway Camp in Delhi and then spent days in a previous township of Mumbai. After a big struggle, Sagar got a special place in the Hindi cinema. He made his directorial debut with Film Bazaar. The film stars Smita Patil, Farooq Sheikh, and Naseeruddin Shah. Released in 1982, the film is considered an Indian classic. He was the producer, director, and writer of this film.
