Patna: A bridge over the Burhi Gandak river in Sahebpur Kamal in Bihar's Begusarai collapsed from the middle and fell into the water. The construction of the 'high-level RCC bridge' between Ahok Kriti toll post and Bishnupur under the CM Navard scheme started in February 2016 and was completed in August 2017. The bridge was built, but the approach path leading to the bridge could not be used due to non-construction.

Many lives could have been lost if it was in use. There was a crack in the bridge a few days ago, but no work has been done on it. The contract for the construction of this bridge is also being given to Bhagwati Construction, the mother of Teghra in the Begusarai district. Due to Sunday and morning incidents, there is no response from the government administration on this incident yet.
