The Vidya Balan-starring film "Parineeta" served as Pradeep Sarkar's directorial debut in 2005. In addition, Sarkar has directed web series including "Arranged Marriage and Forbidden Love," "Coldd Lassi Aur Chicken Masala," and others.

His Mardaani coworker Rani Mukerji already expressed sorrow over his passing. I'm devastated to hear of Dada's passing, the woman said. In fact, I spoke to him just the other day while visiting the Golden Temple in Amritsar. He had called to tell me about my movie, and we had a long conversation. He insisted on a facetime call, but the network was bad that day, so I was unable to video contact him. When I went back, we had planned to meet, but it is just so unexpected. When this occurred, his wife (Panchali Boudi) phoned me around 4 am. It is incredibly sad and shocking because dada has passed away like this."
