Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh's divorce may have happened years ago, but the former couple still makes headlines. Recently, an old story from the sets of the 1999 film "Hum Saath Saath Hain" has resurfaced, showcasing the struggles Saif faced during the shoot.

Directed by Sooraj Barjatya, the film starred Saif alongside Karisma Kapoor, Salman Khan, Mohnish Bahl, Tabu, and Sonali Bendre. Despite being a family drama, the film's shooting was not without its challenges, especially for Saif. The actor was going through a tough time personally, which affected his performance on set.

In an interview, Sooraj Barjatya revealed that Saif was always stressed during the shoot. "He was under a lot of pressure due to his personal problems," the director said. "During the shooting of the song 'Sunu Jee Dulaah,' he didn't sleep the entire night. He was taking a lot of retakes, and I could sense his tension."

Sooraj Barjatya further stated that he had to intervene and advise Amrita Singh, Saif's then-wife, to give him sleeping pills without telling him. "I told Amrita to give him sleeping pills without informing him. She agreed, and the next day, Saif was able to shoot without any issues. He even completed all the scheduled shots and finished the song in one take, leaving everyone surprised."

Saif and Amrita were married in 1991 and had two children, Sara Ali Khan and Ibrahim Ali Khan, before divorcing in 2004. While Amrita chose not to remarry, Saif tied the knot with Kareena Kapoor in 2016 and has two children with her.

Despite their divorce, Amrita and Saif's children have maintained a close relationship with both parents. Sara, who has followed in her father's footsteps in the film industry, has often spoken about the importance of her mother's presence in her life. Ibrahim, on the other hand, has chosen to keep a low profile.

The story from the sets of "Hum Saath Saath Hain" serves as a reminder of the challenges celebrities face in their personal lives, often affecting their professional work. Despite the ups and downs, Saif has continued to have a successful career in Bollywood, and his children have grown up to make him proud.
