This Chaturthi is known by different names everywhere like 'Sankashti Chaturthi', 'Sakat Chauth', 'Tilkut Chauth', 'Mahi Chauth' or 'Vakratunda Chaturthi' etc. This time Sakat Chauth is coming on 31 January 2021. In such a situation, it is said that 'Mothers who observe Nirjala fast on the day of Sakat Chauth and worship Lord Ganesha with full devotion, will always have children' On this day, you should keep a fast for Ganesh Ji and worship him with this method, which we are going to tell you today.

Worship method of 'Sankashti Chaturthi' - First of all, meditate in the morning on this day. After this, wear clean or new clothes and worship Lord Shree Ganesh in the temple of the house. after the worship of Lord Ganesha, the fast is broken only by offering Argh to the Moon in the evening. Chandra Deva should be offered with honey, roli, sandalwood, and roli mixed milk. The devotees must observe a full fast from morning till evening and perform the Ganesh puja in the evening. After the puja, the Chandra is sighted and offerings are made to the moon god. The fast concludes after this procedure. If complete fast is not possible, milk and fruits can be taken.

As you complete your puja you can offer modak or laddu, sesame jaggery laddu, sweet potato, guava, and jaggery to Ganesha. It is said that on this day in the house where a son is born, a mountain of sesame and jaggery is made and offered. If this is the case with you, then remember that after worshiping Ganesha and offering the moon, cut a mountain made of sesame with a knife and distribute it to a nearby neighborhood as a Prasad.
