The remake rights of South filmmaker Puri Jagannadh’s film Rogue has been acquired by none other than Salman Khan. Also there were rumours that Salman had requested Puri keep Sooraj Pancholi in mind while filming since he was eager to cast the young actor in the film.

Puri to which told, "It is true that I had a meeting with Salman during which I narrated the story of Rogue to him."

As Puri said, "It is a very different kind of a love story. The protagonist’s characterization is of a rogue who is arrogant but with a kind heart and finds himself in extraordinary circumstances. Salman was no doubt excited but I also narrated a few other stories. Salman had told me earlier that he was very keen to make a film with actor Sooraj Pancholi and he was looking for a really good story. We would be zeroing in on one of the stories very soon."

Director has denied the reports that Salman had also shown a keen interest in film, "I didn’t narrate ISM to Salman and he does not know about its story. However, I did share some unexplored ideas with him and he seemed to be thrilled with all of them."

Puri also revealed, "We both meet and discuss various subjects from time to time. Our meetings are always fun filled, enjoyable and unforgettable."

"On the contrary, I am a big fan of Salman. I have not seen a larger than life star other than him. I can confidently say that he is the only star in the nation who can take the box-office by storm with his towering presence. Moreover that doesn’t take away his humility from him. What I like best about him is the fact that he is eternally brimming with ideas to make films. That’s one of the reasons why meeting him even for a day gives me great high of directing a film," Puri in last said.
