Ayodhya: Chaudhary Lautan Ram Nishad, president of Samajwadi Party (SP) Backward Class Cell unit, has made objectionable statements about Lord Ram. Questioning the existence of Lord Rama, he described Shri Rama as a fictional character in the film. SP leader Nishad did not stop here, he further said that the Constitution has also accepted that no hero like Lord Ram was born in India.

In response to this statement of Ram Nishad, BJP State Spokesperson Dr. Chandramohan has demanded a clarification from SP National President Akhilesh Yadav. Speaking to the media, Ram Nishad has said, 'Whether Ram's temple should be built, Krishna's temple, I have nothing to do ... I have no faith in Ram, this is my personal thought. If I have faith, it is on the constitution made by Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar, it is in Karpoori Thakur, in Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj from whom we have got the right to read, write, sit in government jobs.

He said that, so I know him from whom I have benefited directly. Whether or not Rama was there, I question his existence as well. Ram is a fictional character, just as the script of the film is made, in the same way, Ram is a character who does not exist. The Constitution has also said that Ram was not born a hero, no hero named Ram was born in India.
