King Nagarjuna is always seen as a supporter of YSR Family. Recently he met YS Jagan Mohan Reddy at his Lotus Pond Residence and pledged his support indirectly to YSR Congress. In a surprise turn of events, Akkineni Bahu Samantha pledged her support to the Telugu Desam Party.

Actor Samantha Akkineni has appealed to the voters of Repalle Assembly Constituency in Guntur district to elect Telugu Desam Party candidate and incumbent MLA Anagani Satya Prasad with a huge majority by voting for development. She released a tiny video asking people to Vote for TDP Repalle Candidate Anagani Satya Prasad. In the video, Ms. Samantha can be seen making the appeal. “Mana Repalle mana Anagani. Vote for development. Make Anagani Satya Prasad with a huge majority by casting vote against cycle symbol,” she said. She urged the People to Vote for Development and Vote for Cycle. Obviously, she may have done this out of some personal commitment but that has embarrassed Akkineni fans on Social Media.

It also confused many as for how Ms. Samantha is connected to Mr. Anagani. Responding to one such tweet Ms. Samantha said, “Yes, a family friend. My support is personally towards him. I know him and his sister Dr. Manjula Anagani since the time I moved to Hyderabad. Hence I support because he is a good person.”

Meanwhile, Nagarjuna’s fans feel that she had defied the Akkineni family by not following Nagarjuna. However, Nagarjuna is known to be very liberal in such issues and may not have any issues with his daughter-in-law having independent opinions. The Polling for Andhra Pradesh Assembly Elections is undergoing.
