'Shakuntalam' is based on the epic love storey of Shakuntala and Dushyanta, which is an adaption of the Mahabharata's 'Aadi Parva.'
In 'Shakuntalam,' Dev Mohan will portray King Dushyanta, while Allu Arjun's daughter Allu Arha will play Prince Bharata. In the next epic drama, actor Kabir Duhan Singh will play King Asura.
