New Delhi: On Friday, Brother of Students Islamic Movement of India leader Safdar Nagori, Kamruddin, made an explosive confession to Source report, where he said that members of the group "thought that those who have burnt our houses, robbed our mosques and homes and have troubled us, we would take revenge". The questioning was done after Kamruddin was put under the influence of truth serum. Nagori was the one who named Pakistan as the hand behind the Samjhauta attack in 2007. His testimony directly contradicted the UPA government’s claim back then that out the blame of the attack on Hindutva terror groups.

He said "We had made a plan during the Ujjain meeting. After that, the Mumbai bomb blast happened. Our plan was completely destroyed. We stayed within our network. We had to take boys from Shibli for our work. But after the Mumbai bomb blast, Shibli threw us out. Our bases were finished. Then where would we go? If not for internal fights we would have been successful. Then we tried to make a new network. You can say that we were the victims of infighting. If these internal fights hadn't happened, we would have gone far ahead. There is no doubt about that. What we thought was that those who have burnt our houses, robbed our mosques and homes and have troubled us we would take revenge. But we got stuck in internal fights,".

Did you make a plan to kill Babu Bajrangi? What was the plan?

The accused Forces were there if we had searched, taken out the address where he goes, what he does and what has to be done. We were in the first phase. How many phases are there in your procedure? There are three phases. What was the second phase? Second would have been teaching the boys and in the third we would find out all the details where he stays, what he does, etc. There should not be a case that we target innocents as police during riots randomly books people who are not involved. So, we don't want to kill an innocent. Someone who has damaged us, we would target him.

Also reveals mentors of the group .Did SIMI members go to Nadwa after the Indore meet? Yes. I don't know why. What is there in Nadwa? There is a big madarsa, a lot of children study there. The biggest organisation of Muslims, Muslim Personal Law Board, a lot of members use to stay there in Nadwa. The National Investigation Agency court on March 20 acquitted all four accused, including right-wing activist Swami Aseemanand, in the 2007 Samjhauta Express train blast in which 68 people, mostly Pakistanis were killed. All the four were earlier accused of murder and criminal conspiracy under the Explosive Substance Act, Railways Act and others.
