Samsung announced that following the One UI 5.1 update the keyboard app uses more battery

Seoul: In February, the Galaxy S23 series was introduced, along with Samsung One UI 5.1, which is based on Android 13. The update improved the devices in many ways, including the camera experience, but Samsung Galaxy devices were said to experience excessive battery drain as a result.

Particularly, it was claimed that the Samsung Keyboard app made the devices use their batteries more frequently. Samsung has now acknowledged the problem on its Malaysian community page. By releasing a fresh update for the app, the business has also disclosed the solution to this issue.

The One UI 5.1 version has been confirmed to have a negative impact on the battery life of Galaxy devices, according to a Samsung Community page.

According to the business, the issue can be resolved by updating the Keyboard app to the most recent version, which was made available on March 2. You can download the most recent version of the Samsung Keyboard app (v 5.6.10.31) from the Galaxy Store.

Users must access the Galaxy Store > Menu > Updates > Samsung Keyboard > Tap the Update button in order to update the Samsung Keyboard app. Please be aware that the Update button might not show up on the screen if the app has already received an update.

The Android 13-based One UI 5.1 update, which was released on February 1, improved the camera experience and added the Expert RAW feature for high-quality images.

With the DeX Mode, multitasking is also made simple. By using the splitter in the middle of the screen, users could adjust the sizes of both windows. The update also makes it possible for users to operate their Galaxy tablet and smartphone with the same mouse that they use to operate the Samsung Galaxy Book.

A Shared Family Album feature that uses facial recognition to suggest pictures to add to the folder has also been added to the Gallery app.
