Samsung has officially unveiled its premium Galaxy S25 Ultra smartphone during the Galaxy Unpacked 2025 event in San Jose, California. The latest addition to the Ultra series from the South Korean tech giant boasts a stronger processor, an upgraded ultra-wide-angle camera, and some subtle yet noteworthy design updates.

Specifications of Galaxy S25 Ultra

The Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra features a 6.9-inch QHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display, offering a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. The screen is protected by the all-new Corning Gorilla Armor 2, which includes an anti-reflection coating for better visibility.

The smartphone runs on the advanced Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, specifically optimized for Galaxy devices. This processor enhances AI-based image processing and improves energy efficiency. In addition, tasks previously requiring cloud support, such as Generate Edit, can now be handled on the device itself. The phone comes with 12GB of RAM and offers storage options of 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB.

Camera Upgrades

The Galaxy S25 Ultra is equipped with a quad-camera setup. This includes a new 50MP ultra-wide-angle lens (an upgrade from the 12MP sensor in the Galaxy S24 Ultra), a 200MP primary camera, a 50MP 5x telephoto lens, and a 10MP 3x telephoto lens. On the front, the device retains its 12MP selfie camera, identical to last year’s model.

Battery and Charging

The battery capacity remains unchanged, with a 5,000mAh battery that supports 45W wired charging and Fast Wireless Charging 2.0.

Design Improvements

Samsung has introduced some ergonomic enhancements to the Galaxy S25 Ultra. The new model replaces the boxy design of its predecessor with rounded corners, making it more comfortable to hold. Additionally, the device is slimmer, with its thickness reduced from 8.6mm to 8.2mm, and lighter, weighing 218g compared to the 232g of the Galaxy S24 Ultra.

Color Options and Availability

The Galaxy S25 Ultra will be available in four elegant colors: Titanium Silverblue, Titanium Black, Titanium Whitesilver, and Titanium Gray.
