Seoul: Samsung has released its News app, giving users access to regular news from a number of "trusted" media sources.
A newer version of the company's "Samsung Free" app, which offers news articles, live TV, games, and podcasts, is available through this app.
However, similar to Apple News, the new app will place a heavy emphasis on news and podcasts.

Daily news briefings will be delivered in the morning and evening and displayed in the Samsung News app.
The news briefings, according to Samsung, are assembled by "experienced news editors to bring users the top headlines of the day in one place."
In-app podcasts and news listening will also be available to users.
Additionally, there are categorised news feeds in the Samsung News app. Users can modify their preferences and tailor their news feed based on the types of news and topics they are interested in using the "Following" tab.

The business announced that more news sources would be included in the app in the future.
