New Delhi:- Samsung could tap into a whole new wearable segment with its upcoming smart ring option. The report comes from the English-language publication The Elec, which has widely covered the moves of various Korean corporations. There have been hints of a Galaxy Ring device thanks to the company's trademarks.
The source said that the Japanese R&D and technology company, Meiko, is currently developing the PCB for the upcoming device. These boards are the essential components upon which the overall design and functionality of the device are determined.
The smart ring is expected to house various health sensors such as ECG and PPG according to Samsung's brand, which will also provide more accurate information than smartwatches.

However, there is no indication that it will launch yet. Samsung's SmartThings app recently added support for smart rings, but that's only possible for partner-branded products. A popular brand in this segment is the Finnish company Oura, whose latest model, the Ring 3, is priced at $299 in the US and comes with features like a 24/7 sensor and long battery life. 7 days.
The brand has also trademarked various nicknames related to its wearable range. These include Galaxy Circle, Pulse, Index, Insight, and Rhythm. It wouldn't be surprising if the final product used one of these monikers.

It would be unwise for Samsung fans not to expect this product right now, as it is in the early stages of development. What they can really look forward to is the next generation of Galaxy Watch 6 series models, including the return of the fan-favorite rotating bezel on the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic.
