Many liters of alcohol were consumed daily. But now only the wines provided by the administration are being climbed. Priests are sanitizing the sanctum sanctorum from the remaining alcohol after offering.

For your information, let us tell you that Baba Kalabhairav, the commander of Raja Rajiraj, Lord Mahakal, is offered liquor in the morning and evening aarti. This tradition is maintained even in lockdown. The only difference is that before the lockdown, the wines offered to the Lord were distributed as offerings to the devotees, but now the entry of the devotees in the temple is banned. In such a situation, the use of the remaining liquor prasad as sanitizer is being done on the walls of the sanctum sanctorum, silver, railing, mesh screens etc. are being cleaned.

According to the priest Dhamendra Chaturvedi about this situation, wine is being offered to God. For this, the liquor is being provided by the administration. After offering to God, the remaining Prasad is being used to sanitize the sanctum sanctorum of the temple so that the Prasad is not disrespected. It should be used in cleanliness in the temple itself. Dettol liquid is also being added to the liquor.
