Filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali has given actor Rohit Roy an opportunity to direct his film. As Rohit had earlier directed a short film titled ‘Rice Plate’.

That film starred Shabana Azmi, Naseeruddin Shah and Anup Soni in lead roles. Now, Rohit and Bhansali has signed a three-film deal.

Rohit in an interview has confirmed this news, "The film is based on a unique love story between a hit-woman and a non-violent professor. Sanjay sir gave me the script. We should lock it by June-July after which I’ll give him a final narration.I hope I live up to his faith."

Rohit is also prepping for another script which will be a love story set in Kashmir. Bhansali has given him this script too.
