Mumbai: The battle of Azaan, Hanuman Chalisa on loudspeakers in Maharashtra is on the rise, meanwhile, now Navneet Rana's daughter has recited Hanuman Chalisa. Both of them had talked about reading Hanuman Chalisa outside chief minister Uddhav Thackeray's house, after which Shiv Sena workers had filed a case on which the police took action.

Now, Aarohi Rana, the 8-year-old daughter of Navneet Rana and MLA Ravi Rana, has recited Hanuman Chalisa at her residence for bail soon from her parents' jail in Amravati. She said that my mom and dad should be released soon, so I am praying. Amid the loudspeaker controversy, the Rana couple had last week announced to read Hanuman Chalisa outside Uddhav Thackeray's house 'Matoshree'. After this, since Friday morning, Shiv Sainiks gathered outside his house in huge figures. They created a ruckus outside the Rane couple's house throughout the day. Shiv Sainiks accused the Rane couple of damaging religious sentiments. Following a complaint by Shiv Sainiks, the police registered a case under Section 153A (for promoting enmity between 2 groups on grounds of religion, caste or language) of the IPC and arrested the Rana couple. Then they were sent to jail.

Now, this issue has reached Delhi. The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has sought a factual report from the Maharashtra government on the arrest of independent Lok Sabha MP Navneet Rana and allegations of inhuman treatment at Khar police station. The Lok Sabha Privileges and Ethics Committee had asked for a report before the MHA.
